Breaking Into Comedy Early

by The Comedy Nerds on May 17, 2010

starting early

On this week’s episode, we do nothing less than try and help the youth of America. After all, I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Isn’t that nice? I wrote that.

Anyway, we got an email from a listener who is about to graduate high school and wants to someday host his own late-night talk show. So we talk about what he (and maybe you) can do to get there. We tried to be both encouraging and discouraging (because, let’s face it, we’re talking about an field with a extremely low success rate), but we love this stuff too much and end up being just straight up encouraging. What can we say? We’re just too positive. We let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be. Yeah, that’s nice.

It’s your two-year anniversary, guys. It only feels like three. :)

I know, that’s Dan’s crazy. I just said that it was the start of season 3. At least I think that’s what I said. Anyway, yeah, it’s the start of season 3, with 2 years worth of podcasting.
