I agree about a variety show at 10. If there was a good one I would be all about it. I love the thought of having a daily good comedy source. That's why I love the Daily Show and Colbert so much. It's always going to be at least pretty good. You know you can end the day with a laugh, it's just so hard to do a good one of those on a network. Or at least the networks like to act like that. That said, your review was pretty spot on and seemed to be an honest review. To me, this was simply the old show minus the desk, shorter monologue and rearrangement of the Headlines bit.
